I appreciate all comments very much and it did serve to answer my question. Actually the straw that broke the camels back for me was that the local mounties told my wife that JW's are the hardest to deal with the way they protect their elders. I'm aware that her story isn't unique (a frightening revelation at the time), and we feel no sense of importance or mission to the world. She has been treated like shit by all her family who won't believe her (mom does but her memory is selective when needing to choose which family she belongs too), her sister is the only exception. With two suicide attempts and years of marriage in the shadow of this disgusting history, we simply want to make HIM pay, jail hopefully. I am truly pissed off though when I fully realize how much this should be blamed indirectly on the WTS but this is all recent to me you understand. I hope that Maximus and Bill Bowen and all who make a great effort to expose this are rewarded and you certainly have my respect. I'll keep you folks posted on how all this goes down in the Canadian justice system. Looking forward to getting to know some intelligent consciencious objectors....

Maximus, your very kind. Neither of us has DA'd ourselves though. Wouldn't that happen auto if on TV denouncing WT. I only care on account of family. My wife hasn't gone for like 3yrs (save a couple due to my prodding) but my activity flatlined in April when I learned the truth about the truth. My darkest concerns validated upon reading "Christian Freedom". I've turned my answering machine off but live right beside a very zealous old pioneer couple. Short story: I'm in hiding (sort of), not wanting to not be allowed to go to family reunions with mom and my unbelieving grandfather (the length of WT tentacles is surprising in hindsight). I do appreciate the offer but concerned because I'm trying the "fade". He will have to travel 7-1/2hrs from northern AB to go to court when that goes through, which will naturally be public. At that time I've considered Silent Lambs ad in that town of 6000 in the "garage sale" section. Until then were keeping low key. We want them to find out from the RCMP w/o warning. We've been raised to believe the mounties always get their man! haha.

my ex wanted his scriptural grounds for a divorce and i told him he had them.
he went to the elders with this info and they called me up last night to try and get me to confess ( which i didn't- i told them it was none of thier business) they told me that they were having a judicial for me wed at 7, and i said i wouldn't be there.

My sister in law was DF'ed in her absence in AB, Canada in like '92. Although it was a confirmed fact that she was living with a guy in her apt. I was working with an elder at the time and the crew used to meet before going to work at the pulp mill where she was a waitress and she told him that she didn't want to talk to them. I don't think she denied the fact that she was living with Chad though....announcement later that week....

New Procedures for handling Abusers

My wife is taking legal action here in Western Canada against her elder stepfather who molested her for years and then prayed. Years later and she's still not right. Any information like this is appreciated as well as be any advice on this type of thing in court (Alberta to be specific).
